Job Specification - Band 6 (Band 7 Considered) Clinical Community Dietitian Location: Luton Service: Nutrition & Dietetics - Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust Contract Type: Locum Start Date: ASAP Duration: Up to 11 months Working Pattern: 2 days per week (08:30-16:30 approximately) Pay Rate: Band 6 capped rate (Band 7 considered, subject to experience) DBS: Enhanced Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Community Dietitian to join the Nutrition and Dietetics team in Luton. The postholder will provide high-quality, evidence-based nutritional assessment and intervention for adults across community and clinic settings. This is a varied and rewarding position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment. Key Responsibilities Provide therapeutic dietary advice to adults in both clinic and community settings. Deliver home enteral tube feeding (HETF) support and monitoring for adults in the community. Conduct general adult nutrition clinics, covering: Nutrition support IBS Coeliac disease Obesity Vitamin and mineral deficiencies Undertake home visits for adult patients. Contribute to care planning and multidisciplinary reviews. Document clinical activity in line with HCPC and NHS standards. Provide guidance and education to patients, carers, and colleagues. Essential Requirements HCPC registered Dietitian. Demonstrable experience in community dietetic practice within the NHS. Proven competence in home enteral tube feeding (HETF) for adults. Excellent communication and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Desirable Experience Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities. Experience within mental health inpatient units. Eden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer.
