Job summary The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) delivers a comprehensive range of acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services. This role involves delivering high-quality assessment, treatment, advice, and evaluation for patients within the Acute Inpatient Physiotherapy Service, ranging from those who are critically unwell to those requiring minimal rehabilitation or guidance. You will manage patients with diverse and complex physical and psychological needs while working as part of a supportive team. Main duties of the job As a senior member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of the Physiotherapy service while supporting the Specialty Team Lead in maintaining the highest standards of patient care. You will manage your own caseload independently, ensuring the safe and seamless transfer of care for defined patient groups, while also contributing to service improvement initiatives. In addition, you will supervise and mentor rotational physiotherapists, lead the clinical education of student physiotherapists, and assist with department-wide training. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise closely with patients, carers, and colleagues across the multidisciplinary team, acting as an advocate to safeguard patient wellbeing and promote a positive care experience.
