Band 6 Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist - Older Persons Service Location: The Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Bournemouth Team: Older Persons Assessment Unit / Wards / Outliers Trust: University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust Contract: Full-time, Ongoing Locum Contract Rate: £25.58 per hour (Umbrella Equivalent) Start Date: ASAP Overview: Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting for a passionate and motivated Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the Older Persons Therapy Team at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team within the Older Persons Service, supporting patients from emergency admission through to safe discharge. The service is highly regarded for its innovative approach to frailty and integrated care across hospital and community pathways. Key Responsibilities: * Provide holistic assessment and treatment for older adults with complex medical and functional needs. * Work across the Older Persons Assessment Unit (OPAU), wards, and outliers to deliver high-quality, patient-centred therapy. * Develop and implement rehabilitation plans to promote independence and reduce length of stay. * Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and community liaison. * Contribute to ongoing service development and quality improvement initiatives. * Maintain accurate documentation and outcome measures in line with HCPC and Trust standards. Requirements: * BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy. * Current HCPC registration. * Experience working within acute or community settings (older persons or frailty experience desirable). * Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills. * Flexibility to work within a 7-day rota. * Clean UK driving licence (preferred).
