Job Description

Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Childrens Physiotherapist to join Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. Your role will include delivering highly specialist interventions and offering clear guidance to parents, carers and professionals involved in the childs care. You will also provide clinical support to physiotherapy colleagues by sharing expertise, delivering training, offering second opinions and undertaking joint sessions when required. In addition, you will play an active role in reviewing and refining clinical policies and procedures within your specialist area to ensure best practice and consistency in service delivery. Main duties of the job As a Specialist Childrens Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed assessments and creating tailored, evidence-based physiotherapy programmes to meet each childs individual needs. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality, child-centred physiotherapy service, working autonomously while demonstrating strong clinical leadership and effective caseload management. You are expected to take a lead on designated aspects of the service, working collaboratively with Clinical Quality Leads, Team Leads and fellow Highly Specialist Therapists to support innovation, service development and excellence in care for children and young people. Person Specifications & Qualifications * HCPC-registered OT/PT with professional membership * Experience supervising students or junior staff and knowledge of safeguarding/sector policies * Competent with electronic patient records * UK driving licence with car * Line management/CPD experience desirable.
