Private Hospital Setting | Central London
Cromwell Hospital is looking to recruit an experienced Band 7 Neuro Occupational Therapist to join their established Therapy Team. This is an exciting full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) for a skilled OT to work across a variety of wards, including AICU, managing both inpatient and a small outpatient caseload. There is no weekend or on-call work, and the role may be extended beyond the initial term depending on service needs.
Main Duties for the Band 7 Neuro Occupational Therapist include:
Managing a diverse neuro caseload, working with adults referred across all hospital wards, including the Acute Intensive Care Unit (AICU).
Supporting timely and effective UK discharge planning, liaising with the wider MDT.
Delivering therapy sessions for both inpatients and outpatients, adjusting intervention plans based on clinical need.
Collaborating closely with physiotherapists, nursing staff, consultants, and discharge coordinators.
Contributing to service development initiatives alongside senior therapy staff.
Participating in clinical discussions, documentation, and audits to maintain high standards of care.
To Be Successful:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience.
Proven experience working with neurological conditions in an acute or hospital setting.
Strong understanding of UK discharge pathways and planning.
Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Flexible, proactive, and passionate about delivering patient-centred care.
