Band 8a Pharmacist – Antimicrobial & Critical Care
- Location: Essex
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 am – 17:15 pm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: Ongoing
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite Only
- Rate: £33 - £40/hour (dependant on experience)
Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Pharmacist with strong organisational skills. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams within an NHS Trust. It is an ideal position for someone looking to expand their clinical leadership experience and actively contribute to service development and change management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist pharmaceutical information and advice to medical, nursing and other staff within the Trust where appropriate
Counsel and advise patients on the appropriate and effective use of medicines
Attend AMS clinical ward rounds, clinical and multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate
Monitor the sage and secure storage of medication both within the pharmacy department and on the wards
Regularly record clinical interventions and activities
Providing a clinical service to the wards
Implement local and national guidelines
Essential Requirements:
GPhC Registered Pharmacist
Previous hospital experience inclusive of Clinical pharmacy practice
Good communication skills
Proactive and independent
Good planning & Organisational Skills
