Job Description
Role- Saw Operator/Cutter
Location- Bradford
2 shifts available, either - 6am - 2.30pm or 11am- 9pm Mon - Fri
Permanent role
basic rate £12.75-13.75
Working for a large steel stock holder which supply components to shipping, MOD, Heavy industry.
We are looking for someone with experience operating Cutting machinery such as Band Saws and CNC Cutters.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting lists, and job sheets to determine material requirements.
* Accurately cut raw materials – Various heavy metals to specified sizes and tolerances.
* Operate and maintain cutting machinery and tools (e.g., saws, presses, cutters, CNC cutting equipment depending on department).
* Carry out quality checks to ensure materials meet required standards before moving to the next production stage.
* Follow health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing better ways of working where possible.
* Keep work area organised and tidy.
This is a permanent role, you are able to choose preferred shift and stay on permanent early or lates, the later comes with allowanceBefore You Apply
