Banksman / Slinger (with Traffic Marshal Experience)
Location: Ashford, Kent
Project: New Build Leisure Centre
Contract Type: Long-Term Freelance (32-52 Weeks)
Salary: Competitive, paid weekly £16.00 - £18.00 per hour
Start Date: ASAP - Monday 24th November
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Banksman/Slinger who also holds a valid Traffic Marshal ticket to join a reputable main contractor on a major new-build leisure centre project in Ashford, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established team on a high-profile development. The ideal candidate needs to be an all-rounder in this regard (experience as banksman/ slinger/ gate man/ traffic marshal) with experience in labouring on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely directing plant, vehicles, and lifting operations on site
* Slinging and signalling for crane lifts
* Managing vehicle movements and ensuring safe access/egress routes
* Coordinating with site management and subcontractors
* Maintaining a safe and organised working area
* Adhering to site safety procedures and reporting any hazards or incidents
Requirements:
* Valid CPCS/NPORS Slinger/Signaller qualification
* Valid Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman ticket
* Previous experience working on large construction sites
* Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
* Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
* PPE and right to work in the UK
