Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of joinery and construction, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication and assembly. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures.
To apply for this role you must have experience in the social housing sector, have your own van and tools. Also standard bathroom installation ( including plumbing) is essential.
In date CSCS Card required.
This is a 12 week temporary to permanent role.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, frameworks, and fixtures according to specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
* Perform carpentry tasks including cutting, shaping, and installing materials.
* Execute joinery work with precision to ensure structural integrity.
* Assist with roofing projects as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
* Conduct heavy lifting as necessary for the movement of materials and equipment.
* Engage in construction painting to finish surfaces as per project requirements.
* Carry out plumbing tasks when needed to support overall project completion.
* Participate in masonry work for structural support or aesthetic purposes.
* Apply electrical experience where applicable to enhance functionality of installations.
Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
* Proven experience in joinery or a related field within the construction industry.
* Strong skills in fabrication and assembly techniques.
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in joinery work.
* A background in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily duties.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship while adhering to health and safety regulations.
