Job Description
Role: Business Development Manager – Pumps & Water Infrastructure
Location: Field-Based (Reporting to Nearest Regional Depot)
About the Company:
My client provides bespoke pump hire, installation, and water infrastructure services to a range of customers in construction, civil engineering, utilities, and facilities management. With multiple depots across the UK, they deliver rapid-response services and long-term project support to both public and private sector clients. Their solutions range from dewatering and bypass systems to permanent pumping stations and treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and secure new business opportunities across construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with site managers, project engineers, and procurement teams.
Promote the full range of pump hire, installation, and water infrastructure services, tailoring solutions to customer needs.
Provide on-site technical consultation, including initial assessments and solution recommendations.
Collaborate with depot and technical teams to ensure efficient service delivery and client satisfaction.
Maintain pipeline activity and reporting through CRM systems and regular forecasting.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in technical or industrial B2B sales, ideally within pumping, water treatment, plant hire, or infrastructure services.
Familiarity with construction sites, civil engineering environments, or utility frameworks.
Self-motivated and resilient with a hunter mentality.
Strong commercial and communication skills, capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.What’s on Offer?
