Ongoing contractThe Role
This is a full-time position supporting a young child with significant behavioural needs in Year 6. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support both in and out of the classroom. The role involves managing challenging behaviour, active movement breaks, helping to de-escalate situations when necessary, and offering consistent emotional and academic support.
The ideal candidate
The school is looking for an individual who is confident, patient, and proactive — someone who can build trust and rapport with the child while maintaining clear boundaries and structure.
Experience in a school or care setting is absolutely essential.
You must be able to cope and support children with mood swings and with ADHD / ASD / PDA traits.
