Forever Teaching is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Bolton to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Buddy for a full-time, long-term position starting in September.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will provide tailored behavioural support to pupils who may be at risk of exclusion or struggling to engage in a mainstream classroom environment. This role is ideal for someone with a calm, resilient approach and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support focused on behaviour and engagement
* Assist pupils with emotional regulation and managing their responses
* Work closely with the school’s pastoral and SEN teams
* Support reintegration strategies for pupils returning to class
* Help maintain a positive and inclusive school environment
Requirements:
* Experience supporting young people in educational or youth settings
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Ability to build trust and rapport with challenging pupils
* A patient, proactive and professional approach
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
