Behaviour Buddy – 1:1 Support Role (Secondary School, East Manchester)
Location: East Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Salary: £100 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
Forever Teaching are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Buddy to join a forward-thinking secondary school in East Manchester from September 2025. This is a long-term opportunity to make a real difference to students facing barriers to learning.
The role involves providing 1:1 in-class support to pupils with social, emotional or behavioural needs. There will also be opportunities to lead targeted interventions for students who find it difficult to engage in a classroom setting.
Role Responsibilities:

Support students with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement on a 1:1 basis
*
Help maintain a positive, safe learning environment in class
*
Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage personal and academic growth
*
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
*
Deliver structured interventions and support sessions outside of class when required
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (e.g. in schools, youth work, sports coaching or care settings)
*
A calm, consistent and supportive approach
*
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*
A passion for helping young people overcome challenges and succeed
