Are you confident, outgoing, and enthusiastic about making a difference in young lives? Do you have a passion for supporting children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)? If so, we would love to hear from you! Teaching Personnel are working alongside a vibrant SEND school catering for both primary and secondary pupils, we are looking for a warm, resilient and proactive Behavioural Friend to join our dedicated and nurturing team. What is a Behavioural Friend? A Behavioural Friend is someone who builds trusted, supportive relationships with pupils who may experience challenges in communication, behaviour, and learning. You’ll be a consistent, friendly presence who helps them navigate their day, manage emotions, and access learning in a way that works for them. The Role: Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with SLD Support children with emotional regulation, routine, and behaviour management Promote independence, confidence and social interaction Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and families Use your creativity to bring positivity and energy into each day We’re Looking For Someone Who Is: Confident in working with children with complex needs Outgoing and able to build strong relationships quickly Enthusiastic with a “can-do” attitude and sense of fun Calm, consistent, and able to think on their feet Passionate about inclusion and supporting every child’s potential Why Join Us? All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
