We’re looking for a Behavioural Friend to join our nurturing and dedicated team at our specialist SEND primary school, supporting boys aged 6–12 with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties.

The Role
As a Behavioural Friend, you’ll work 1:1 with individual pupils, supporting their emotional and behavioural development while encouraging positive routines, self-esteem, and independence.
Your role will involve:
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, and breaktimes
Implementing strategies tailored to individual needs
Encouraging emotional regulation and resilience
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure holistic support
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Is patient, compassionate, and proactive
Has experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, or Learning Difficulties (desirable, not essential)
Understands behaviour as communication
Can remain calm under pressure and think on their feet
Wants to be a consistent, positive presence in a child’s school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
