Behaviour and Intervention Officer Location: Derby, DE1 PayScale: £105 - £115 per day Duration: Long-term to permanent Start date: September 2025 Behaviour and Intervention Officer | Key Stage 2,3 & 4| SEN & Behavioural Needs | Derby, DE1 | £105 - £115/day | Long Term to Permanent | September 2025 LTF Recruitment are working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Lewisham to appoint a Behaviour and Intervention Officer to support Key Stage 2,3 & 4 students with so-cial, emotional, and behavioural needs. This pivotal role will focus on designing and imple-menting targeted interventions that promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and ac-ademic progress. Main Duties & Responsibilities:. * Deliver structured 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to behavioural and emo-tional development needs. * Collaborate with SENCOs, pastoral leaders, and teaching staff to embed positive be-haviour frameworks across the curriculum. * Take responsibility for managing behaviour and emotional support plans, monitoring student progress and adapting strategies where needed. * Build strong, supportive relationships with students, using a trauma-informed and re-storative approach. * Assist in identifying at-risk pupils and implement early intervention programmes to re-duce exclusions and improve engagement. Requirements: * A confident, proactive, and empathetic individual who thrives in a student-centred role. * Proven experience supporting students with SEN and behavioural challenges, particu-larly within Key Stage 2,3 & 4. * A qualification in education, Psychology, Behaviour Support, Youth Work, or a related field is advantageous. * Competent ICT skills with an ability to track, record, and analyse intervention impact. * Strong de-escalation techniques and experience managing challenging behaviour calmly and consistently. * A deep understanding of SEMH and the ability to implement restorative and therapeu-tic approaches.
