The Role – Behaviour Mentor Assistant
We’re looking for a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor Assistant to join a supportive all-through SEMH all-boys school in Wandsworth. This role involves working with boys across both primary and secondary age groups who have social, emotional, and mental health needs such as anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or behavioural challenges.
As a Behaviour Mentor Assistant, you will provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to support students in managing their behaviour, building self-esteem, and improving their engagement with learning. You’ll play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, develop coping strategies, and achieve both personal and academic goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people who have SEMH needs, whether in a school, mentoring, or youth work environment. Your calm, consistent, and patient approach will be key to building positive relationships and creating a safe space for students to grow.
