Behaviour Mentor - Tower Hamlets E3 Location: Tower Hamlets, E3 Contract: Long-term/Permanent Day Rate: £115-£125 Start Date: ASAP Commutable From: Redbridge, Havering, Newham, Dagenham, Ilford, Stratford The Opportunity: Long Term Futures are seeking a reliable Teaching Assistant to support KS3/KS4 pupils in a well-established secondary school. We are looking for resilient and dedicated Behaviour Mentors. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people with a range of behavioural, social, and emotional needs. Long Term Futures are looking for a confident, resilient and supportive Behaviour Mentor to join a mainstream school in the Tower Hamlets area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in supporting pupils with behavioural, social and emotional needs who can build trust, provide stability and help students re-engage positively with learning. The school is welcoming, supportive and committed to providing the right environment for pupils who need additional guidance and structured support. Your Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils who require additional behaviour support Implement strategies to support behavioural, emotional, and social needs Assist in creating an inclusive and structured learning environment Help deliver tailored interventions and support plans Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Lead activities inside and outside the classroom Supporting secondary pupils with a focus on positive behaviour strategies Opportunity to take children out of the class for sports-based activities Possibility of running lunchtime or after school sports-based activities Creating a safe, engaging, and structured environment that promotes learning and emotional regulationRequirements: Experience supporting young people with challenging behavioural needs. Background as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, Youth Worker, Behaviour Mentor, or similar. Ability to build strong, trusting, and secure relationships with students. A calm, patient, and confident approach to managing challenging behaviour. Comfortable working within the structure of a classroom as well as delivering alternate activities outside the classroom.Why Long Term Futures?
