Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Southwark
Daily Rate: £90 - £110
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, through to July 2025
Are you passionate about supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs? A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Southwark is seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil. This is an exciting chance to be part of a nurturing school environment and play a vital role in a child's personal and academic development.
The Role:
Provide focused 1:1 support for a Year 4 child with SEMH needs
Implement bespoke strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Foster a strong, consistent relationship to help build confidence and self-esteem
Collaborate with the SENDCo, classroom staff, and pastoral team to ensure joined-up support
Respond to behavioural challenges with calm, resilience, and structureWhat We're Looking For:
Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs or similar behavioural challenges
Confident and calm when supporting complex behaviour in a school setting
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
Solid understanding of de-escalation techniques and tailored support strategies
