Setting: All-through Special School (Autism & SEMH)
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only
An outstanding SEND school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a resilient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their behaviour support team this September. This all-through school supports pupils aged 5-16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Your role will involve:
Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support across age groups
Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and daily routines
Working closely with therapists and pastoral staff
Promoting engagement through structured, sensory-based activities
You will need:
Experience in a special needs or PRU setting
Understanding of behaviour de-escalation strategies
A calm, caring, and consistent approach
