Contract: Long-term, until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £105 - £135 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a committed and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant secondary school in Lewisham. In this vital role, you will support students with behavioural needs, helping them overcome challenges and succeed both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored one-to-one and small group mentoring to students displaying behavioural difficulties
Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to create and implement effective behaviour support strategies
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills development
Track and report on student progress, sharing insights with staff, parents, and leadership
Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Help reduce barriers to learning and improve student engagement and attendanceWhat We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with young people in education, mentoring, youth work, or similar settings
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships
A calm, resilient, and proactive attitude when faced with challenging behaviour
A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting their development
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies is desirable
A clear commitment to safeguarding and child protectionWhat We Offer:
