A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rubery is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join their team in September. This full-time role will focus on supporting students in KS1 with challenging behaviour, many of whom have additional needs such as ADHD.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students across Key Stage 1, providing tailored 1:1 and small group interventions both inside and outside of the classroom. Your role will involve helping pupils better understand their behaviour and supporting them in making positive changes through structured sessions and individualised behaviour targets.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group sessions for students with behavioural challenges.
Support pupils with SEN such as ADHD and SEMH both in and out of class.
Set, monitor, and review behaviour targets in collaboration with teaching staff.
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.
Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.Candidate Requirements
Experience working with children with challenging behaviour and/or SEN.
Background in an educational setting, ideally within a primary school.
Confidence delivering structured 1:1 and small group support.
Understanding of behaviour management strategies and a nurturing approach.
