Behaviour Mentor | Primary School | Walton-on-Thames, Surrey | £95-£115 per day | Full-time, Long-term Are you a compassionate and proactive individual with a passion for guiding positive behaviour in young learners? Long Term Futures are working with a vibrant primary school in Walton-on-Thames, who is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide crucial support to children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is an excellent full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential for a permanent contract for the right person. We are particularly interested in candidates with a sport or psychology background, as these skills are highly beneficial in understanding and guiding pupil behaviour effectively. As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll work closely with primary pupils, offering one-to-one support and leading small group activities focused on developing positive social, emotional, and behavioural skills. Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and build pupil self-confidence and regulation skills. Collaborating effectively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and apply effective behaviour plans. Monitoring pupil progress and adapting strategies to meet evolving needs and challenges. Facilitating small group interventions focused on social skills and emotional literacy.We're Looking for Someone Who: Has prior experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a behaviour support or TA role within a school setting (KS1 or KS2). Is calm, empathetic, and exceptionally dependable. Can confidently navigate and manage challenging behaviours with a therapeutic approach. Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to apply for one).
