SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Newham who are looking for a behaviour mentor to join their team!
The school is a 3-form entry primary school in Forest gate.
The role will be to work with a group of key students who can display challenging behaviour and need additional support.
As a behaviour mentor, you will:
Build positive, trusting relationships with students who exhibit challenging behaviour.
Provide 1:1 or small group mentoring sessions focused on emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and social skills
Help students identify triggers and develop coping mechanisms for managing emotions and behaviour.
Support students in lessons, helping them remain engaged and on task
De-escalate incidents of challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans in collaboration with SENCOs or pastoral leads.
Help lead restorative approaches following incidents or conflicts.
