About the Role:
A nurturing and inclusive secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who present challenging behaviours linked to SEMH needs. The role is ideal for someone calm, consistent, and confident in using de-escalation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted mentoring and behaviour support
Build trusted relationships with pupils at risk of exclusion
Work alongside pastoral, SEN and safeguarding teams
Support classroom engagement and re-integration
Requirements:
Experience working with children/young people with behavioural needs
Understanding of SEMH and restorative approaches
Resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills
