Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Tower Hamlets - September Start

A supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join the pastoral team from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
About the Role:
Position: Behaviour Mentor
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in managing their behaviour and making positive choices both in and outside the classroom.
Build trusted relationships with students who may be at risk of exclusion or disengagement.
Work closely with teaching staff, the pastoral team, and families to implement tailored support strategies.
Lead 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions focused on emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence-building.
Help create a calm, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people with behavioural, social, or emotional needs (school-based experience preferred).
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to behaviour management.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to remain professional, consistent, and fair in challenging situations.
A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.
