Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Newham - September Start

A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking a confident and committed Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team this September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students who face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges and help them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
🛠 The Role:
Work 1:1 and in small groups with students displaying challenging behaviour
Provide targeted emotional and behavioural support
Support teaching staff in managing behaviour across the school
Contribute to behaviour strategies and intervention plans
Act as a positive role model and mentor for students
✅ The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, or alternative provision experience welcome)
Calm, firm, and nurturing approach
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
A passion for supporting young people from diverse backgrounds
