The Role - Behaviour Mentor
We are seeking a proactive and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist all-through school in Merton that supports pupils aged 5–19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Many students also have additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing challenges.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to regulate their emotions, manage behaviour, and engage positively with their learning. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team to implement behaviour strategies, de-escalate challenging situations, and promote a calm and therapeutic school environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in youth work, SEN settings, or behaviour support roles and will be confident in building trusting relationships with vulnerable young people.
