Job Description
Are you passionate about empowering young people to overcome educational challenges and reach their full potential? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Behaviour Mentors to support students across various schools throughout the London Borough of Haringey.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with backgrounds in youth work, pastoral care, SEND, or behaviour support who seek flexible and fulfilling roles in education.
About This Position As a Behaviour Mentor, you will have a vital role in supporting students who face behavioural challenges, guiding them towards positive engagement with their learning and school community.
Core Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties
Managing challenging situations with calm professionalism, employing restorative practices when suitable
Promoting students' emotional health and personal growth
Collaborating effectively with teachers, pastoral staff, and SENCOs to deliver targeted behaviour interventions

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (in education, youth work, or care settings)
Calm, confident, and positive under pressure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive, empathetic, and firm-but-fair approach
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
