Are you an experienced Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? TeacherActive is looking for a dedicated and resilient professional to join a specialist secondary provision in Liverpool.

The Role:
As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
Help create and maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
Implement behaviour strategies in line with school policies and individual learning plans.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to support pupils’ academic and emotional development.
Model resilience, patience, and consistency in all interactions.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone with:
Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEMH and challenging behaviours.
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach.
Experience using a trauma-informed approach (desirable).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
