About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our large, vibrant primary school in Blackburn. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children by supporting positive behaviour and helping them thrive in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to support pupils with behavioural needs.
Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, helping them engage in learning.
Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
Monitor and record progress, reporting to the SENCO and class teachers.What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferably primary).
Understanding of behaviour management strategies and SEND support.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
