Behaviour Support Assistant – SEMH  Location: Kitts Green Academy, Birmingham (B33 9QY) Type: Full-Time / Long-Term Salary: £88.92–£95.42 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start Date: December 2025 The School and Role ABC Teachers are seeking a confident and passionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join the dedicated team at Kitts Green Academy, a primary SEMH school for boys, part of the Thrive Education Partnership. Kitts Green Academy provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment for boys in Primary and KS3 Learning groups with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Staff at the school work closely with students to build confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will support pupils to manage emotions, build relationships, and engage in learning through consistency, encouragement, and tailored interventions. This role would suit individuals with experience in youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or SEND education. Key Responsibilities Support Primary and KS3 boys with SEMH needs in both classroom and social environments. Implement behaviour support strategies and interventions under the guidance of the class teacher. Encourage emotional regulation, social development, and positive communication. Build trusting, professional relationships with pupils to promote engagement and wellbeing. Support enrichment activities, outdoor learning, and school trips. Work collaboratively as part of a skilled, supportive staff team. As a Behaviour Support Assistant with ABC Teachers, You Will Receive: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
