We are seeking a resilient, compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Basildon this September.
About the Role:
You'll work closely with the SENCO, class teacher and pastoral team to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups-helping them self-regulate, engage in learning and thrive socially and emotionally.
What you'll be doing:
✔ Supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural needs
✔ Using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies
✔ Creating a calm, safe and structured environment
✔ Building strong, trusted relationships with pupils
✔ Helping every child feel seen, heard and valued
What we're looking for:
✔ Experience supporting children with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour (school, youth work or care settings welcome)
✔ Calm, consistent and confident approach
✔ Ability to engage positively and set clear boundaries
✔ Team player with excellent communication skills
✔ Available full-time from September 2025
