We are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to join our committed team from September 2nd, 2025. This full-time, term-time role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a similar role within a school setting, who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people.
You will play a key role in supporting the behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement of students across the school, working closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and families to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in managing their behaviour positively and productively
Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote emotional regulation and engagement in learning
Assist in the development and implementation of behaviour support plans
Contribute to the school’s pastoral provision and behaviour systems
Support staff in implementing consistent approaches to behaviour management
Build trusting relationships with students, acting as a mentor and role model
Respond to incidents promptly and professionally, ensuring restorative practices are used
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in a behaviour support or pastoral role within a school environment
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to managing behaviour
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive and flexible attitude to working in a dynamic school environment
An understanding of safeguarding, child development, and trauma-informed practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
