Do you have experience in youth work, mentoring, care, sports coaching, or other roles that involve building relationships and promoting positive behaviour? Are you calm under pressure, resilient, and passionate about helping young people succeed?
We’re looking for confident, empathetic individuals to join Central Manchester schools as Behaviour Support Assistants. You’ll work with students who are struggling to engage in mainstream education – offering support, structure and encouragement to help them re-focus and re-engage.
Your Role Will Include:
Providing 1:1 or small group behaviour support
Acting as a positive role model and mentor
Helping to de-escalate challenging situations calmly
Supporting teachers to create a focused learning environment
Building trust with students who may have complex needs
What You’ll Need:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Patience, resilience and a non-judgemental attitude
Experience working with young people (formal or informal)
A genuine commitment to helping students overcome barriers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
