Behaviour Support Assistant - Sheffield
Are you calm, resilient and ready to make a real impact in schools?
Right Education is working with a number of schools across Sheffield looking for Behaviour Support Assistants to support pupils with additional behavioural or emotional needs. This role is ideal for someone with experience in SEN, SEMH, youth work, care or mentoring - or someone passionate about supporting pupils who need consistency and understanding.
You’ll have the flexibility to choose the settings that suit you, and we’ll work hard to match you with the right schools based on your strengths and goals.
What you’ll be doing
*
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
*
Helping pupils manage behaviour, regulation and focus
*
Encouraging positive routines and engagement in learning
*
Working closely with SENCOs, class teachers and pastoral staff
*
Using de-escalation strategies and restorative approaches
What we’re looking for
*
Experience in youth work, SEN, SEMH, care or similar
*
Confidence in school settings and a calm, consistent approach
*
A positive attitude and desire to help pupils thrive
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
