Contract: Fixed-term (September – December 2025)
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the Darwen area from September to December 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a committed team focused on student well-being, engagement, and success.
About the Role:
You will work closely with teaching and pastoral teams to provide targeted support for students who experience difficulties in managing their behaviour. Your role will involve building positive relationships, supporting classroom routines, and implementing behaviour strategies that promote learning and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support
Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
Support students in developing self-regulation and coping skills
Assist with the development and review of behaviour support plans
Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies as needed
Maintain accurate records of incidents and interventions
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting students with behavioural needs, ideally in a secondary school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
The ability to work flexibly and remain solution-focused
A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
