Behaviour Support Assistant – Permanent Position
Start Date: October 2025 (Interviews Early September)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students who require additional guidance outside the mainstream classroom or within the school’s dedicated resource base.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for students who need help managing their behaviour and re-engaging with learning.
Implementing strategies to reduce conflict, support emotional regulation, and encourage positive choices.
Working closely with teachers, pastoral leaders, and parents to ensure each student feels valued and supported.
Acting as a role model, building strong relationships with students to help them develop confidence and resilience.
This is a permanent position with opportunities for career progression into pastoral or SEND roles for the right candidate.

Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for individuals who are:
Experienced in working with children or young people, this could be in schools, youth work, sports coaching, or similar roles.
Skilled in behaviour management and conflict resolution, with a calm and empathetic approach.
Resilient, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Able to bring transferable skills, but childcare experience is essential.
