📍 Location: Chesterfield

💷 Pay: Up to £105/day (PAYE)
⏰ Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm
📑 Contract: Temp-to-Perm
About the School
Step Teachers client, a small secondary SEMH school in Chesterfield is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. The school supports young people aged 11–16 who’ve faced challenges in mainstream education.
With small class groups, a supportive staff team, and a focus on personal growth, this is a place where you can really make a difference.
What You’ll Be Doing

Work 1:1 and with small groups to support learning and behaviour.
*
Help students manage emotions, build resilience and confidence.
*
Use positive strategies and de-escalation techniques.
*
Be part of a caring team that puts relationships first.

Experience working with young people (at least 3 months).
*
A calm, positive and resilient approach.
