Job Description

Job Title: Behaviour Support Location: Sheffield Salary Range: £85 to £100 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-time/Part-time Do you have the patience and passion to help young learners overcome barriers and build brighter futures? GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Behaviour Support professional to join a school in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people manage their behaviour and reach their full potential in a supportive and structured environment. As a Behaviour Support staff member, you will help them regulate their behaviour, build positive relationships, and stay engaged in their learning. Your role will involve working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to implement effective behaviour strategies. Your Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support: Support pupils in managing their behaviour and promoting positive choices. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement. Work 1:1 or with small groups to address emotional and behavioural needs. Assist with behaviour intervention plans and classroom routines. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff. Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Requirements for Behaviour Support: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges. Confidence in managing challenging behaviour calmly and effectively. A caring, firm, and consistent approach. Good communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
