We're looking for a PMLD Learning Support Assistant to work in a variety of specialist schools across North Bristol, supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside dedicated staff in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. About the Role As a PMLD Learning Support Assistant, your role will include: Supporting students with complex physical, medical, and sensory needs, including personal care and mobility assistance. Assisting the class teacher and wider support team in delivering a tailored, accessible curriculum. Creating a safe, stimulating classroom environment where students can thrive. Building meaningful relationships with students to support their emotional wellbeing and learning progress. Using specialist equipment and communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, sensory aids) as needed.
