As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant in Tilehurst, you will work closely with individual pupils and small groups, supporting their emotional wellbeing and promoting positive behaviour strategies within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural or emotional needs.
Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to deliver effective support plans.
Use behaviour management techniques to help students engage in learning.

Support teaching and learning across the classroom when required.
Follow all safeguarding and inclusion procedures within the Tilehurst primary school.Person Specification:
Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is desirable, ideally as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant.
Understanding of behaviour management strategies and social-emotional development.
Calm, patient, and positive approach when managing challenging situations.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
Reliable, adaptable, and committed to helping children achieve their best.
