Rate: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural support. You’ll collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to create a structured and supportive learning environment, helping students develop positive behaviours and emotional resilience. Use creative and proactive strategies to engage students and promote a culture of respect and achievement.
Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA)
Support students with behavioural needs in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
Assist in developing and maintaining Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).
Encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation through structured activities.
Monitor and record student behaviour, progress, and engagement.
Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
Provide a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel respected and supported.
Requirements of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA)
Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges.
Understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
