Behaviour Support Worker - Specialist Provisions (Central Lancashire) πŸ“ Locations: Preston, Chorley, Leyland and Blackburn πŸ•’ Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only (08:30am - 15:30pm) πŸ’° Pay: Β£106 - Β£115 per day (dependent on experience) About the Role: We are looking for Behaviour Support Workers to join a number of specialist education provisions across Central Lancashire, including Preston, Chorley, and Leyland. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You'll support students in overcoming barriers to learning, developing positive relationships, and achieving both personal and academic goals. Your role will involve working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a calm, safe, and structured learning environment where every child can thrive. What We're Looking For: βœ… No prior school experience required - full training and guidance provided βœ… A resilient, empathetic, and proactive approach βœ… Excellent communication and relationship-building skills βœ… Ability to travel to schools in Preston, Chorley, or Leyland Desirable background includes: Experience in support work, care, or healthcare assistance Personal experience supporting a family member or friend with additional needs Requirements: Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (UDS) or be willing to apply and pay for one prior to starting Must be able to provide at least 2 years of employment references with no large gaps What's on Offer: 🌟 Rewarding work supporting young people with additional needs 🌟 Supportive and inclusive school settings 🌟 Consistent weekday hours - term time only 🌟 Competitive daily pay (Β£106-Β£115 per day) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy * Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained * You must have legal right to work in the UK * You must be willing to attend a registration interview All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
