Job Description

Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker - Specialist SEMH Provisions Location: Halewood, Liverpool (Merseyside) Start Date: ASAP Pay: £110 - £125 per day (dependent on hours worked) Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only Are you resilient, proactive, and passionate about supporting children and young people? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking dedicated Behaviour Support Workers to work within specialist SEMH provisions across Halewood and Liverpool area. You will be working with both primary and secondary aged students who may display challenging behaviours and require additional support to engage in learning. Key Responsibilities: Provide behaviour support for pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. Work alongside teaching staff to implement behaviour management strategies. Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress. Remain calm, consistent, and professional in challenging situations. Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive school environment. Essential Requirements: Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply and pay for one). A minimum of 24 month's professional employment references with no major gaps in the last 5 years. Must hold a valid Right to Work document, an in-date form of photo ID, and two valid proof of address documents. Able to drive or willing to travel via public transport across the Liverpool area. Resilient, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Desirable Backgrounds: Support Work or Care Work Sports Coaching with young people Military or Police Service Residential or Youth Support
