The school is seeking someone confident in communicating and interacting with young people and supporting them with their social, emotional and mental health needs. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children within the classroom setting, working both one-to-one and in small groups to help them engage positively with learning. You will manage challenging behaviour with patience and professionalism, while acting as a positive role model at all times. A key part of your role will be to take a genuine interest in each student’s progress and well-being, providing consistent support to help them build confidence, emotional resilience, and positive relationships. Role Details: Behaviour Teaching Assistant   Location:Dibden Purlieu Salary Scale: £82.80 to £100 per day Start Date: ASAP/ September 2025 Requirements for Behaviour Teaching Assistant role: Has experience working with young people, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Leader, Scout Leader or something similar  Has a positive attitude Can engage children in and out of the classroom  Feels confident managing challenging behaviour  Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs. Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies. Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies. To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you should:  Have the right to work in the UK.  Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.  Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
