Behavioural Teaching Assistant
Location: Ravenshead NG15
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only | Temp-to-perm opportunities available
Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural, social, or emotional needs? We're recruiting a Behavioural Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive mainstream Primary School in Ravenshead providing vital 1:1 or small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs.
Your Role
Work closely with teaching staff and SENDCo to implement behaviour support plans
Support pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, or trauma-informed needs
Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
Build trust and consistency with students through patient, respectful support
Support in-class learning and supervise in a safe, structured environment Requirements
Experience working with children with behavioural difficulties (in schools, youth work, or care)
Calm, resilient, and confident in managing challenging situations
Knowledge of Team Teach, MAPA, or other de-escalation training is a plus (training can be provided)
DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Able to commit to full-time, term-time work (typically 8:30am - 4pm)
