Behavioural Teaching Assistant Location: Bodmin, Cornwall Full-Time | Temporary (Maternity Cover) Start Date: 15th September Contract Length: Until end of maternity leave (exact dates to be confirmed) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges and reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a secondary school in Bodmin. This is a full-time, temporary position to cover maternity leave, providing vital support to students who experience behavioural, social, or emotional difficulties. About the Role In this role, you will: Work 1:1 and in small groups with students needing additional behavioural support Assist with the implementation of individual behaviour plans and tailored interventions Support teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment Help students develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships Collaborate with the pastoral and SEND teams to ensure a joined-up approach to student support We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (in schools, care, or youth services) Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a calm, consistent approach Can build positive relationships with students and staff Works well as part of a team but is also confident working independently Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing Holds relevant training or qualifications within mental health (desirable but not essential) If this is something you'd be interested in please reply with your CV attatched to   All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
