Job Description
DCT Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and skilled Bench Joiner on behalf of our client based in Burscough.
This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate, offering secure, full-time work with a reputable company in the woodworking and manufacturing sector.
As a Bench Joiner, you will be responsible for producing high-quality joinery products from technical drawings and specifications. This role will involve working with various types of wood, using a range of woodworking machines and hand tools to create bespoke pieces.
• Rate of Pay: £18.00 per hour (PAYE)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
• Start Date: Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities:
• Manufacturing bespoke joinery items including doors, frames, panels, cabinets, and counters
• Operating woodworking machinery safely and effectively
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling wood to precise specifications
• Ensuring all work meets the required standards of quality and finish
• Working as part of a team and independently when required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Bench Joiner role
• Strong experience working with woodworking machinery (e.g. saws, planers, routers, spindle moulders)
• Ability to read and understand detailed joinery drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
• Own tools preferred but not essential
• CSCS card beneficial but not mandatoryBefore You Apply
