Bench Joinery Supervisor
Northallerton area.
£35-38k
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bench joiner / cabinet maker looking for the next step in their career.
We seek a confident all-rounder who has come from the shop floor producing high end bespoke products and has experience of CAD and CNC programming.
This is a hands-on role encompassing work on the bench, organising workshop operations, ensuring production and maintaining quality, health & safety.
The role:
* Work from drawings to produce 1st off products and then guide and mentor the bench joinery team to ensure correct manufacturing method
* Work to the production plan, assign work to joiners, monitor progress, and ensure workflow.
* Monitor and order stock to ensure all materials and components are available for production
* Work alongside your team in a hands-on bench joinery capacity when required
* Program, set and operate CNC machines
* Produce drawings for manufacture in CAD
The person:
* Fully trained and experienced in high end, bespoke bench joinery
* Able to program set and operate woodworking and CNC machinery
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to produce CAD drawings
* Able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
* Able to lead and mentor staff
Desirable:
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Experience in a similar supervisory role
